Bread Cooperative

Bread Cooperative is a worker-owned collective building technology for a post-capitalist future, with financial tools that put working people first. We developed the full digital platform for the cooperative, including their bold, editorial-style marketing website and the decentralized application infrastructure powering their solidarity tools.

The flagship product is $BREAD, a community stablecoin pegged 1:1 to USD that serves as the engine for mutual aid and worker-owned economic participation. The platform features three core tools: the Solidarity Fund (community-driven fundraising where members bake $BREAD to support projects they believe in), Stacks (cooperative savings goals achieved together), and Safety Net (collective emergency funds controlled by the community).

The website itself is a design statement, featuring massive condensed typography ('FINANCIAL TOOLS TODAY. SOLIDARITY FOREVER.'), a dark textured aesthetic with warm orange accents, evocative black-and-white photography, and smooth scroll-driven transitions.

With over 100,000 people in their network and a growing ecosystem of projects empowering each other, Bread Cooperative is redefining what financial infrastructure can look like when it is owned by the people who use it. The platform also includes Sourdough Systems, their full-service Web3 development studio.
